Southern Soul Cafe

I heard so much about this place I had to come try it for myself for lunch. The cashier was super nice and took my order quickly and didnt make me feel guilty for drooling over the cake on the counter.so.. basically, I made the mistake of showing up hungry...and couldn't walk away from the cake! I'm glad I didnt because it was moist and delicious. For my entree, I ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was good - just okay though. Not the best I've had but not the worst either. (It could have used a smidge more of seasoning imo)Now.. let's talk about that mac n cheese.. it was banging! I could have eaten a plate full of that for sure. I will definitly come back to get more of that and to try a different entree.

Great food,Soulful atmosphere, and fantastic service.Was treated to lunch here and I'm so glad I finally got to experience the hype.I loved that the menu had staple soul food choices that I grew up on. The portions were great and left enough to take home.The prices were typical for the type of food served.Black owned businesses.Please go see for yourself.
